"To us who stand afar off we applaud them, for they are a people who are to be admired…To the vast numbers of earthly domain his is unknown, but to those of us who learned to love Marine Corporal Ian W. Stewart, we can only stand, admire and-salute."
Great Uncle Guerdon Bushnell,
Retired USAF, WWII
"One of the best things about my parents and all of my family is that they are all supportive of anything I do. Not only are they supportive of my decisions but also they help me out to get where I want to be."
"Now I have a good idea about my future, but I don't know what exactly will happen. I'm really proud to say where I'm going with my life. Sometimes I think about leaving and it is a little saddening. I'm leaving everything I know. The biggest part for me is leaving my friends. I realize that we all have to move on and I might as well lead."
"We must be on guard so that we never get caught up in wanting our own way. And we must not turn our religion into a circus. We must never try to get Christ to serve us instead of us serving Him." (passage from 1 Corinthians that Ian marked in his boot camp Bible)
