      • From the U. S. Mint in Philadelphia, this coin was struck to commemorate the 230th Anniversary of The United States Marine Corps. It is legal tender issued by the U.S Treasuary by act of Congress.
      • When issued in 2005, only 600,000 coins were struck and the coin quickly sold out to Marines, collectors and investors alike. All coins are now in the hands of the general public. By act of Congress, it will never be reissued.
      • By contrast, 1 Oz. American Silver Eagles have been issued in quantities ranging from 5 to 10 million each year since 1986.
      • The original issue price from the U. S. Mint in 2005 was $39.00. Remember no more coins will be issued.
      • Not just an ordinary coin found in circulation , this is a (proof) coin.
      • Proof coins are created by multiple stamping operations which cause the metal to heat and flow at the surface. Only this method can be used to achieve the high mirror luster finish in the background contrasted by the superb cameo relief of the most famous pictured event of World War II and perhaps ..........of all time.
      • The raising of the American flag on Mount Suribachi on the island of Iwo Jima is emblazed in the American Spirit.. The reverse side of the coin is the Marine Eagle Globe & Anchor with notations "ONE DOLLAR.....The United States of America.......E PLURIBUS UNUM and..............Semper Fidelis."
      • You may independently have your proof coin graded*. Graded MS70 2005 Marine coins are currently selling in the $175 to $300 range. *Note........not all coins will grade to MS70.
      • Encapsulated in clear acrylic and presented in a blue velvet protective storage case, the U.S. Treasury Department provides a certificate of authenticity.
      • Current price........ while they last......... is only $69.95
